TANINTHARYI DIVISION – A 72-year-old lady was killed by the heavy artillery of the terrorist junta army in Lakku Village of Palaw Township, according to sources in the region.
On the afternoon of August 19, the terrorist army fired two shells into the village of Lakku in Palaw Township, and a shell landed next to the house of the 72-year-old lady, and she was hit by a shrapnel and died.
One person was killed and three people were hospitalized in three days due to indiscriminate shelling and gunfire by the terrorist army in Palaw Township. In addition, it is reported that people from villages from the township such as Kyaung Neint, Pawut Phayar, Gyintgar, Pita, Nang Taung, Mya Dong and Tanshin were also hit by bullets fired by the terrorist army and many people were injured.
On August 9, two 15-year-old young boys from Zayathsate Village were injured by bullets in the head and hip as the terrorist army opened fire without any battle on ground.
