SAGAING DIVISION – The local source said that the junta abducted 15 IDPs from Htout Shar Ai village, Kanbalu Township.
The responsible person from the Kyun Hla activist group said that the junta raided the Htike Shar Ai village on May 7 at about 7 p.m. and fired on the houses. And then they abducted 15 IDPs as hostages.
We could confirm that 15 IDPs were abducted as hostages while they were invading. But we couldn’t confirm the identity of the hostages. After that, they shot and fired at Htout Shar Ai village. Although it wasn’t easy to confirm the damages, 50 houses would be destroyed.
This was the first time the junta fired and destroyed this village. And we couldn’t contact the hostages.
“After the junta fired on Htout Shar Ii village, they invaded the village, one mile from it. About 3000 local people absconded to a safe place,” said local people.
The village near the invasion of the junta column must abscond. “About 3000 local people were displaced from Htout Shar Ii and Pay Gyi villages,” said local people.
Htout Shar Ai is located in southern Kanbalu, in Zee Gon Township. There were 300 houses.
