BAGO DIVISION – Local residents reported that the terrorist junta forces murdered three young men including Mr. Aung Myo Lin who they abducted at Kunchankone checkpoint at the exit of Letpandan by slitting their necks and discarded the bodies.
In the early morning of May 6, the dead bodies of 19 years old Mr. Aung Myo Lin from Sharkone Village, Hlegu Village Tract, Minhla Township and Mr. Kyaw Phyo Lin and Mr. Kaung Htet Kyaw (aka) Kaung Kaung from Letpandan Township were found in three separate places in Konetha Village, Nwarchangone Village Tract, Paungde Township.
“Mr. Aung Myo Min was attending an event in Letpandan around a month ago when he was abducted (by junta forces) alongside several other people at Kunchankone checkpoint then sent to Oakpho interrogation center. His family couldn’t contact him and he was murdered, accused of being a PDF soldier. Mr. Kyaw Phyo Lin and Mr. Kaung Htet Kyaw (aka) Kaung Kaung were youths from Letpandan. The abducted youths were murdered and their bodies were discarded in Paungde,” said a resident.
On May 5 night, Paungde Township People’s Defence Force Company 5 eliminated junta appointed administration officer Win Hlaing at Konetha Village. This angered the junta council and junta forces brutally murdered the three young men in interrogation and discarded their bodies in the village.
The bodies were discarded with badges of “dark reaper” placed on them and local people believe that the young men were murdered by junta forces as a form of revenge because the administration officer was killed and to intimidate the residents and members of the revolutionary forces.
