BAGO DIVISION- On October 5, at around 3:40 a.m., the Brave Warrior for Myanmar (BWM) force, the NSA31 urban guerrilla force, and the Sittaung Riverbank area -Yedashe Joint Operations Force fired 107mm short-range missiles on the Southern Regional Military Headquarters in Taungoo Township.
As Mission-23, five rounds of 107-mm missiles were fired into the compound of the Military Council Southern Regional Headquarters. Four of the shots reached the target and there were reported casualties.
The Junta Council’s Southern Military Command (SMC) is a major military command controlling the fight against the revolutionary forces in Bago and Karen states.
In addition, BWM and alliance forces launched the attack on October 5 after receiving tips that 100 drones of the Terrorist Military Council have arrived at the Southern Military Command recently.
The Regional Military Headquarters (Military Command) is the major controlling center of the regional battalion and troops in the respective regions. Attacking the regional military headquarters automatically would debilitate the forces under their chain of command, as mentioned in the statement
Therefore, BWM and its allies have targeted the terrorist military headquarters as well as air bases. This mission of attacking the Southern Military Command was the 23rd mission that BWM had done, and it was the first time that the Southern Military Headquarters had been attacked.
