SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) announced that 11 civilians were killed and 12 wounded during the five days of aerial attacks and heavy artillery fire by the military council.
Between August 9 and 13, Kyaungsu, Oak Kyin, Tarpoke, Htinesint, Myolalyat, Narlwal, Myohaung, Konesone, and Nanpawtchaung Villages in Hsipaw Township, were opened heavy weapons and aerial attacks by Junta regime. Four women and seven men were reported killed.
According to TNLA, 12 residents, including a nun and a child, were injured due to the air strike and the explosion of the weapon.
The local Hsipaw Town were fleeing their homes to Kyaukme town, Namlan, and Panlone areas to escape from the war.
During the 1027 campaign of the Northern Three Brotherhood Alliance, the Military Council had to give up some cities in Northern Shan state including North-eastern command.
TNLA said that the military council, which is losing the war, is continuously firing airstrikes and heavy weapons at the people, and is openly committing war crimes.
