MYANMAR – An official from Battalion 1006 (Pekhon PDF Battalion 2) under Central Region 3, Ministry of Defence, National Unity Government, stated that they received 50 sets of uniforms supplied by the garment department of Mr. Nay Myo Zin.
“The garment department of Captain Nay Myo Zin is working hard to supply uniforms to over 300 comrades and also for other battalions. Each uniform costs around three lakhs. Our funds are mainly used for weapons so we are very grateful that they are supplying uniforms to defence forces,” said the official from Battalion 1006.
It is said that the 50 sets of uniforms were delivered to the battalion on November 25.
It is said that there are confrontations near Pekhon as the junta and its subordinate PNO forces are launching offensives to advance into Karenni State.
Pekhon is the entrance to Karenni and the terrorist junta council has been trying to seize control of the main areas in the region. It is said that the junta council called for the return of civilians but the returning civilians are required to sign guarantees. Moreover, the junta council is reported to be conducting offensives daily to return things to normal so they can hold their planned sham election.
Residents including displaced people in Pekhon Township are advised to stay alert of the military situation as over 500 junta and PNO forces are conducting military operations in Pekhon.
