BAGO DIVISION – The 5,000 bullets campaign was able to support bullets to the 5th batch of basic shooting training held by Kawa People’s Defence Force (KAWA PDF) and also the frontline comrades.
The campaign was held for one month from June 5 to July 5 was extended until July 19 to meet the target, said an official from KAWA PDF.
The 5th batch of training began on May 5 and was held for three months, attended by 41 men, 3 women and 1 LGBTQ. The official said that the trainees will need to be armed after the training is completed.
It is said that the campaign was held as their request for ammunition to the central team of People’s Defence Force has not been answered yet and the campaign was also able to support the frontline comrades.
KAWA PDF has trained 150 trainees in shooting so far. It is currently said to be participating in operations and missions spearheaded by KNU/KNLA and has paused urban operations.
