MYANMAR – After the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), known as the Kokang Army and its coalition forces, have taken control of Lashio City, including the Northeast Regional Military Headquarters in Lashio City on August 3rd, the number of towns and cities occupied and controlled by the revolutionary forces since the Spring Revolution is now 75.
This does not include the towns that are controlled by revolutionary forces but with no announcement made of its capture. As such, there may still be towns that are left out of the list. On July 31, TNLA, PLA, Mandalay PDF and joint forces were able to completely occupy Mongmit city. Therefore, in the second wave of Operation 1027, four cities have been captured by the revolutionary forces, namely Nawngkio, Mogok, Mongmit and Lashio.
At the same time, Mandalay PDF captured and controlled Singu Township, so, the cities captured by the revolutionary forces during the second part of the 1027 operation and the Shan Man operation number five. In addition to this, the revolutionary forces are attacking the remaining military bases in Kyaukme. In Rakhine state, the Arakan Army (AA) is attacking the remaining military bases in order to completely occupy Thandwe and Maungdaw Townships.
