BTS (방탄소년단)’s #Suga is slaying on Billboard charts! His new solo album “D-DAY” and its title track “Haegeum”, both released under the stage name Agust D, made powerful debuts on 7 Billboard charts this week with #DDAY entering Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart at No. 2, tying the record set by Suga’s bandmate Jimin last month for highest-ranking Korean solo album in Billboard 200 history!
Suga now ties the record for highest-ranking K-pop solo artist on the Billboard 200, and 1st K-Soloist to land multiple albums in the top 20. His 1st was his mixtape “D-2” which debuted at No. 11 in 2020! ‘D-DAY’ earned a total of 140,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on April 27 with 122,000 pure sales, this week’s top-selling album, marking the 4th-largest U.S. sales week of any album in 2023!
DDay’s title track “Haegeum” debuted at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100, Suga’s 4th chart entry as a solo artist and his 2nd for a song released solely under his name, after “Daechwita” which reached #76), his Juice Wrld collab “Girl of My Dreams” which hit #29 and his collab “That That” with #PSY which peaked at #80!
‘D-DAY’ has debuted at No. 1 on four different Billboard charts this week. Billboard’s Top World Albums chart, Top Album Sales chart, Top Current Album Sales chart and Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart. Suga is now the first Korean Soloist to top the Billboard Rap Albums chart.
Overall, Suga topped a total of seven Billboard charts this week, with “Haegeum” entering three different charts at No. 1.
Suga extended his own record for the most entries on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart of any K-pop soloist (25), with all of the tracks from “D-DAY” (except for his pre-release single “People Pt.2” featuring IU, which already debuted at No. 1 on the chart last month) landing in the top 30. “Haegeum” debuted at No. 1, “HUH?!” (featuring J-Hope) at No. 8, “AMYGDALA” at No. 12, “Snooze” (featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto and The Rose’s Woosung) at No. 13, “D-Day” at No. 15, “Life Goes On” at No. 19, “SDL” at No. 20, “Polar Night” at No. 24, and “Interlude : Dawn” at No. 26.
Suga also went to #1 on 8 of the top 10 spots on the World Digital Song Sales chart, with “Haegeum” at #1, “HUH?!” at #3, “AMYGDALA” at #5, “Snooze” at #6, “D-Day” at #7, “Life Goes On” at #8, “SDL” at #9 and “Polar Night” at #10.

“Haegeum” debuted at #12 on the Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and #15 on the Global 200 this week! Suga’s pre-release track “People Pt.2” rebounds to #64 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and #105 on the Global 200! “AMYGDALA” landed at #127 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart & #161 on the Global 200. “HUH?!” and “D-Day” also entered the Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 182 and No. 200 respectively.
Suga re-enters the Billboard’s Artist 100 at #3 under the name Agust D, becoming the 2nd highest-charting K-pop soloist in history after Jimin, who reached No. 1 last month!
