MAGWAY DIVISION – It was reported that the atrocious junta soldiers abducted 20 wartime evacuees, after they had burned down the entire Yin Ke Village in Saw Township with incendiary bombs, according to the local based Revolutionary Forces.
On July 15, the murderous junta column heading to Kyin Dway Town in Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, continued to park its convoy near Yin Ke Village, which was burned to the ground on July 14, and deployed its infantry troops. Moreover, they arbitrarily abducted 20 wartime evacuees who came to observe the burning village, and took them to Laung Shey Town.
On July 14, at around 11:00 a.m., the local based Revolutionary Forces intercepted the junta convoy heading to Kanpetlet Township of Chin State to send rations, ammunition and weapons, near Yin Ke Village. In retaliation to that attack, the nefarious junta soldiers launched mortar shells and incendiary bombs over Yin Ke Village in Saw Township to wipe out the village, and a child was killed by the shrapnel of mortar shell, while another civilian was injured.
“Yin Ke Village is located on the way to Saw Township of Magway to Chin State. There were around 320 houses. The brutal junta soldiers stopped their convoy and carried out arson raids in the village, after their convoy was attacked. The residents had to run away from the village in a panic. The wartime evacuees sheltering in the monastery were also hit by the junta’s mortar shells, and a child was killed. The junta convoy was unable to move their way,” said a local.
More than 300 of civilians’ houses in Yin Ke Village of Saw Township were wiped out by the junta arson attacks, and the residents had been forced to flee from their homes due to junta’s artillery attacks. Moreover, the fighting might have raged the places along the way of the junta’s convoy, according to some locals.
“More than 1,000 people of Yin Ke Village were running away from their homes. Moreover, many houses in the village were lost in the fire. There may be more needs,” said a revolutionary source.
