YANGON DIVISION – Than Tun, the chairman of New National Democracy Party, established by Thein Nyunt, former junta council member and current advisor to the terrorist junta regime, was reportedly shot dead on December 1 at 8:45 a.m.
He was reportedly attacked and shot six times at a photocopy shop in Ngamoeyeik Ward of Thingangyun Township where he lived.
“Than Tun died after getting shot six times. Now, all motorcycles and sidecars are being arrested on sight. There is expected to be strict inspection of guest registration lists in Thingangyun Township, particularly in the wards of Ngamoeyeik, Sanpya, Laydauntkan, Bawamyint and Kyipwaryay. The comrades who carried out the attack were wearing black clothes so people wearing black need to be careful,” said a source.
Thein Nyunt was a member of the terrorist junta council and is currently serving as an advisor to them. He is a known supporter of the military coup and the junta regime.
