KACHIN STATE – It is reported that Myo Hla KPDF (Kachin People’s Defence Force), operating on the west bank of the Irrawaddy River near Shwegu Town, captured a junta camp in Aung Chan Thar Village at 8 a.m. on December 1 morning.
According to a person close to the KPDF, the military council camp stationed in Aung Chan Thar Village between Kyaukgyi Village on the west bank of Irrawaddy River and Myo Hla Town was attacked at 3:00 a.m. that morning and seized five hours later.
“The camp has been seized completely. We confiscated weapons and also prisoners of war,” said the information officer of KPDF, on the camp capture.
The camp that was captured had existed since before the military coup, and had about 30 troops stationed.
