BAGO DIVISION – Patrolling People’s Defence Force (PDF) soldiers and some local civilians were said to be injured by the heavy artillery fire of the junta council in Yedashe Township, according toPawani (Red Shawl) Column.
At around 4 p.m. on December 2, while the patrol guerrillas of Pawani Column were patrolling and arrived at Thitchaseik Village, junta rocket battalion 604 in Yedashe fired heavy artillery, injuring the PDF troops.”Just as our comrades entered the village, the shell fired by junta forces landed, injuring both our comrades and local civilians,” explained the officer in charge of Pawani Column.
A soldier from Pawani Column and a 40-year-old local man were said to have received non-life-threatening injuries from the shelling. Moreover, two houses were also reportedly damaged.
On November 28, junta forces stationed at Ywarthit Village in Swarmagyi Village Tract fired heavy artillery shells into the villages, and the shells landed and exploded between Ohmyaytu Village and Tagyar Hinoh Monastery, damaging several buildings.
