BAGO DIVISION – An official of the Bago Region People’s Defence Force (PDF) said that when they stormed the gate of Pyu Saw Htee militia at the exit of Oak Pho 3 Village in Waw Township, one Pyu Saw Htee was killed, three others were captured alive, and two guns were seized.
The revolutionary forces attacked the checkpoint guarded by more than seven Pyu Saw Htee militants at the exit of Oak Pho 3 Village in Waw Township, on January 15, at 9:30 p.m., killing one militant, capturing three and seizing two hand-made nine volt guns.
The attack was carried out by the People’s Defence Organization of Waw Township, Kawa Township People’s Defence Organization, Daik U Township People’s Defence Organization, Thanapin Township People’s Defence Organization and Indakaw Township People’s Defense Organization and the members of the PDF were able to retreat without being harmed.
During this attack, Pyu Saw Htee militants were killed and captured without being able to fire back while the rest escaped. An official of the Bago Region PDF said that the three Pyu Saw Htee who were captured have been detained in accordance with the Prisoner of War laws and will continue to be examined.
