RAKHINE STATE – Clashes between the Arakan Army (AA) and junta forces intensified at the Thandwe – Toungup Border, and the junta council carried out airstrikes at Daw Mya Old Village.
On Monday (April 22) afternoon, clashes intensified near Ye Kout New Village, and around 12 p.m., the junta fighter jet dropped bombs at Daw Mya Old Village.
“After bombing for one hour, the sound of attacks continued to echo from Ye Kout New Village,” said a resident.
Until 4 p.m. on Monday, the sound of heavy artillery shells could still be heard, and the battles were ongoing, according to residents.
