TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An official from the Tanintharyi PDF that the military was affected by the attack on terrorist military gates in Tanintharyi Township.
At about noon, on July 19, the terrorist military gate on Mount General Sculpture and at about 2:20 p.m., the bridge gates were attacked by revolutionary forces as a commemoration of Martyrs’ Day.
It has been reported that during the attack, the terrorist military council fired heavy weapons and small arms continuously throughout the day. There were casualties at junta side during the fighting, and the number was not yet confirmed.
“The number of casualties by the military is yet to be investigated, and there are no weapons confiscated,” said an official from the Tanintharyi PDF.
The attack was jointly carried out by the Tanintharyi PDF, Zone 4 Red Wing Team, and comrades were able to withdraw unharmed. An official from the Tanintharyi PDF said that local people and tourists are cautious about traveling and appealing for the safety of the people according to the military conditions occurring in the suburbs of Tanintharyi Township.
