SHAN STATE – The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) issued a directive to cease fire from July 19 to 31, complying with a request by China.
In an active response to China’s request for immediate cease fire and to stop the battles, MNDAA instructed its troops to cease offensive and prepare for defense and air defenses at their current position from July 19 till 31.
The troops were instructed to defend as appropriate against junta attacks during the above mentioned ceasefire period.
Meanwhile, a resident of Lashio said that the fighting is still intense even after July 19 and that the MNDAA forces are even entering Lashio.
