KACHIN STATE – It was reported that people in the KIO/KIA-controlled villages and towns, which do not have access to clinics and hospitals, will be provided health care services at least once a month, according to the Information Department of Kachin Independence Organization/Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA).
The health workers of KIO Government are providing health care services monthly to the residents and displaced people of the village along Myitkyina – Bhamo Road, and their activities were reported.
The report said that the health workers provided health care services to the people of villages and towns such as Dawthponeyan, Nar Long, Kone Law, Myo Thit and its nearby areas, where the hospitals and clinics were unable to open due to military situations.
The health workers provided health care services to the people with the financial and medicines support of the War Relief Association of KIO Government.
It was also informed that the areas that do not have hospitals and clinics will be provided with health care services at least once a month.
Furthermore, it was said that a ceremony of functioning electricity was held at the electricity office in Sumprabum Town, which is occupied and controlled by the KIO/KIA, on July 17.
After the fighting in Sumprabum, where the military troops and departmental office staff fled, the KIO managed to restore electricity and provide partial lighting from 7:00 p.m., to 10:00 p.m.
The KIO Information Department also said that hydropower projects will continue.
The allied forces of KIO/KIA had accelerated its offensive attacks against the atrocious junta forces on March 7, and they captured many military bases in the areas such as Myitkyina – Bhamo Road, Bhamo – Lwegel Road, Sumprabum, Waingmaw Township, areas near Liza, Momauk, Bhamo, Tanai, Hpakant and Mansi, and controlled towns and villages.
