YANGON DIVISION- Newly recruited soldier Naing Lin from Dawbon Township, who completed junta council‘s military training batch 1, died in the Rakhine battle front line, some friends of him said.
He was forced to join the junta army in April 2024 and had to attend military training in the first batch . On June 28, he completed the military training, and he was sent to the Rakhine battlefield on June 29. The family received the news that Naing Lin died at the front line on July 19.
“Naing Lin was from Sayset Ward. He was chosen in a draw to attend military training and being sent to the battlefield, and he died on the Rakhine front line now. His brother received news on July 19. Naing Lin was only 27 years old. Another one from the ward lost his leg. They were sent to the battlefield by junta lackey administrator Wai Zin Thaung,” said a friend of the deceased Naing Lin.
At present, the newly recruited soldiers who attended the first batch of military training at No. 1 Army Advanced Training Academy of Taik Kyi were sent to the front line of the battle to fight for junta council and more than 100 recruits have lost contact with their parents, the parents and relatives of the recruits reported.
Junta council sent more than 100 newly recruited soldiers to Thandwe and the Rakhine battlefield. After that, the new recruits who arrived at the Rakhine front line were forced to fight in the front line without being allowed to contact their parents and relatives.
Previously, terrorist council issued a statement saying that those youths recruited under the military conscription Law would only serve for security in their related areas and would not be required to fight on the front lines, but upon completion of training, all recruits were sent directly to the front lines.
