NORTHERN SHAN STATE – The MNDAA released a statement that their troops prevented and warned those who were looting a store in Ward 7 of Lashio City.
On July 28, around 5:00 p.m., in Lashio City Ward 7, some people carrying goods were found by the MNDAA security forces and conducted an investigation.
It was verified that they broke into a house on 14th Street, Ward 7, and looted the goods inside. It is known that at least 30 people have stolen goods from the house.
The MNDAA troop immediately stopped the theft and chased away the robbers. The stolen goods were brought back inside the house.
“No matter what difficulties you face, one should not be stealing. Stealing and looting is strictly prohibited in the area,” the MNDAA forces warned and educated the thieves.
Currently, the allied security forces have increased patrols in Lashio City and will take severe action if such looting/stealing behavior is found again. If there is a food shortage or any difficulties with medical supplies etc. among the residents, one can ask for help from MNDAA troops. The alliance forces also would help in solving such problems, MNDAA announced.
