REPUBLIC OF KOREA – An event was held in front of Bupyeong Station in Incheon, South Korea to commemorate the 36th anniversary of the 8888 uprising and to show support to the Pattanikkozzina Strike of the Buddhist monks in Myanmar.
At the event, the representative of the National Unity Government to South Korea urged to persist and continue the fight till the revolution achieves victory and stated that the NUG office in South Korea is doing its best to serve the Myanmar nationals in South Korea.
The event, organised by anti military coup committee (Korea), was attended by around 200 people and had speeches delivered by representatives from A Phyu Yaung Moe Set Kalay Myar Charity Group (Korea), Kyauk Khit Ko Mhauk Pyit Mal Revolutionary Group, Chin Youth Organisation – South Korea and Global Myanmar Spring Revolution Korea.
Mr. Win Paw Maung, the co chair of the committee said that the event is to commemorate the 8888 uprising, support the Pattanikkozzina Strike, and to explain the Spring Development Bank (SDB) and Spring lottery of the National Unity Government. He also thanked the members of One Day Challenge who raised three million USD in three years, urged for continued support and informed that version 2 will be introduced soon.
In addition, there were also performances of poetry by Poet Konsatt and revolutionary music by Rainbow Group as well as a presentation on One Day Challenge Fundraising Campaign and a photo exhibition on the current situation in Myanmar.
