SHAN STATE (NORTH) – The revolutionary news source reported that junta column with 300 soldiers in strength which came from Tangyan Town to reinforce the junta army at Lashio was intercepted and attacked by revolutionary forces. More than 50 terrorist junta troops were killed and hundreds of soldiers were wounded.
The junta column of 300 soldiers in 15 military trucks left Tangyan Town on July 29. The mentioned column was attacked on the morning of July 30 near Manpang and Honar villages of Lashio Township. The battle was intense and the junta army soldiers fled in disorder. According to recent reports, more than 50 junta thugs have been killed and hundreds injured.
“The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), Bamar People’s Liberation Army (BPLA) and allied forces waited and intercepted on the way. Since they (junta convoy) came up, the news already received that there will be about 15 military trucks. Their vehicles were on fire by the attack. There has been more than 50 dead soldiers. They brought the wounded soldiers on vehicles and retreated back to where they came,” the military news source explained.
The Terrorist Military Council Army is currently trying to provide reinforcements to the Northeast Regional Headquarters under attack in Lashio, but due to the attacks of the revolutionary forces, they are unable to provide reinforcements.
