MYANMAR – The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) released on August 1 that nearly 2,000 children and women have been killed since the terrorist junta seized power.
Since the coup d’état by the terrorist junta until July 31, 2024, a total of 5,467 people have been murdered by the atrocious junta, and the highest number of victims is in Sagaing Division.
Among those killed, there were 1,087 women and 693 children, and 1,873 were killed after being arrested, according to AAPP.
A total of 27,125 people were abducted and 20,809 people are still in custody, according to the data collected by AAPP from the time of the coup d’état of the terrorist junta regime until 31 July 2024.
There were 5,600 women detained, 4,044 of whom are still detained, and 742 children detained, of whom 341 are still detained.
