SHAN STATE – People’s Defence Force (PDF) Mandalay took part in the battle to capture Mongmit, the fourth town captured by the force, PDF Mandalay announced on August 2.
The allied forces led by PDF Mandalay and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) successfully captured Mongmit on July 31, 2024.
It was mentioned in the statement that the drone force of PDF Mandalay coordinated well with the allied forces to carry out missions during the operations in Mongmit.
Mongmit is said to be the fourth town captured from the military operations that PDF Mandalay is taking part in.
PDF Mandalay has fought alongside TNLA and captured Singu, Mogok and Nawnghkio Towns during the Shan-Man Operation and the second wave of Opera 1027.
TNLA joint forces first attacked the junta bases in Mongmit on June 27 as part of the second wave of Operation 1027 and managed to wipe out all junta bases four weeks later on July 31.
