SHAN STATE – Local residents reported that fighting broke out at the border between Nawnghkio Township of Shan State and Pyin Oo Lwin Township of Mandalay Division in the afternoon of August 2 and the junta army conducted airstrike on the villages of Theakaw and Bantbway.
“There is fighting between Nawnghkio and Pyin Oo Lwin. The fascist army is attacking the villages from the air. The fighting is still going on,” said a local resident.
The local people said that it is not yet possible to confirm whether any people were injured by the terrorist army’s airstrikes due to ongoing battles.
