KACHIN STATE – Kachin Independence Army (KIA) a junta base on Myitkyina – Sumprabum Road, on the morning of August 3, confirmed by KIA’s spokesperson Colonel Naw Bu.
The KIA started offensives on the junta bases along Myitkyina – Sumprabum Road, starting on the morning of August 1, and seized three military bases near Ti Yang Zug Village, on the morning of August 2, and acquired the junta base in In Sut Village, on the morning of August 3.
Colonel Naw Bu said that the Revolutionary Forces completely captured the junta base in In Sut Village, at around 9:30 a.m., but some of the terrorist junta soldiers fled and were being hunted.
He continued that only the military base in the Myit Sone area remained to be captured on Myitkyina – Sumprabum Road, and there are no more military camps in the Sumprabum area.
The KIA occupied the entire Sumprabum Town during its offensives, which started on March 7.
Since July 24, the KIA and joint forces conducted re-offensive attacks on Light Infantry Battalion – 437 in Momauk, and the battle between the two sides was ongoing.
