SHAN STATE – A battle broke out in Hsihseng Township of Pa’O Region on August 6 that resulted in the death of junta troops and weapons were also seized, stated the Pa’O National Liberation Army (PNLA).
PNLA and allied forces were said to have battled the junta council troops near Lwelhtwel Village in Hsihseng Township.
“We found ten dead bodies of junta troops and seized a drone and ten weapons. The junta forces and their subordinate Pyithusit militia are firing heavy weapons into Pa’O villages and territories, and a heavy artillery explosion in Miyel Village last night (August 6) killed two IDP,” said Mr. Khun Yein Yan, the spokesperson for PNLA.
PNLA also urged the civilians to be cautious when going out as the junta forces and Pyithusit militants have been shelling the Pa’O villages and territories in Hsihseng Township since August 3.
