SHAN STATE – The local residents reported that the junta council once again dropped 500lb bombs in TNLA controlled Kutkai in northern Shan State on August 7 afternoon.
The junta council recently dropped seven bombs in Kutkai on August 5 and dropped two more 500lb bombs in the town at 1:50 p.m. on August 7.
“We learnt that it was MIG 29 fighter jets that took off from Shante Air Base in Meikhtila (that bombed Kutkai). We also received reports that a Y12 plane took off at 2:30 p.m. Kutkai residents, take care,” a resident posted on his social media page.
The two bombs on August 7 reportedly exploded in the former police station and former military strategy base but the extent of the damage is not yet known.
During the bombing on August 5, three bombs landed in front of the Gawrakhar temple on Pyidaungsu Road (former AE housings), two landed in the southern corner of Myoma Market and one landed on the side of Tarmoenye Street in Ward No. 3. Six civilians were killed, 13 were injured and almost the entire Myomo Market was destroyed.
