RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) said on August 7 that they have captured all junta bases in Buthitaung Township and only two junta outposts remain in Maungdaw.
AA said that only Border Guard Outpost No. 5 and the highly defended military base in Maungdaw are left to be captured.
The terrorist junta council has not allowed the residents of Maungdaw to leave the town and are using them as human shields and have transformed the houses in the town into defense lines.
AA has been conducting offensives for months to capture Maungdaw and only two outposts remain as of now.
At the same time, AA accused the junta council of colluding with the extremist Muslim terrorist groups to encourage terrorism and incite religious and racial conflicts.
As such, AA reiterated that they will eradicate the terrorists and terrorist organisations so that religion and race based terrorisms don’t break out in Rakhine State.
It is said that the threat of extremist Muslim terrorist groups, Muslim militants trained and armed by the junta council and Muslim criminal gangs have reached not just the minorities in Maungdaw and Buthitaung Regions but also threatening the well being and safety of the entire population in the region.
