MANDALAY DIVISION – Residents said that the battles are fierce in Natogyi, Myingyan and Taung Tha of Mandalay Division, and the junta council is also firing from the air.
There are fierce battles between both sides after PDF troops attacked Natogyi police station and the terrorist soldiers guarding at the gas pipeline from 5:00 a.m. on August 5.
“They have been fighting in those two places since early in the morning. I don’t know exactly but around five bombs were dropped from airplanes. I heard they seized the camp and set it on fire,” said a resident who lives near Natogyi.
Some residents said that some of the Natogyi residents were trapped and the condition of the damages due to the air strike was not known.
A resident from the north of Natogyi said that “It is totally impossible to go outside the town. We heard the sound of planes and bombing.”
Local residents said that PDFs blocked the Myingyan – Natogyi Road.
