MYANMAR – Acting President Duwa Lashi La of the National Unity Government said during the “Victory Speech to the People” program held on August 10 that the Spring Revolution has achieved results that can shock the world.
“Our victory is to the point where it can shock the world. We started from nothing but managed to snatch win after win. Now, we were told that we have captured 75 towns and cities in Myanmar. Just on August 3, revolutionary forces captured Lashio, which was a military headquarters. These are undeniable successes,” said President Duwa Lashi La.
He also remarked that the terrorist junta council had collapsed and lost all motivation and battle capability. “They (the junta council) have lost all support from the people so they can no longer recover and will collapse into destruction. Suspicion is rife among them, with plans of rebellion. There are also many cases of (junta forces) surrendering, as we all know. So it is clear at this point that he can no longer win,” said Mr. Duwa Lashi La.
The Acting President also added that “the surprising thing about the Spring Revolution is that people of all ethnicities are involved. It is a revolution based on unison, which is why we achieved this much success.”
Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Union Prime Minister Mhan Win Khaing Than, Minister of Defence Yee Mon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zin Mar Aung and Minister of Finance Tin Tun Naing of the National Unity Government, Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) Chair Khu U Yel, Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) Deputy Commander-in-Chief Marwi and activist Min Ko Naing took part in the “Victory Speech to the People” program.
