Although the military council has cut off phone and internet access in Lashio, Starlink internet has been accessible at the “Wa” liaison office in Lashio from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at Aung Specialist Hospital between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Moreover, Starlink access is available in front of Mansu Temple from 10 a.m. to noon.
“(The company) is closed due to the current war situation but people who need to contact their relatives can come and use Starlink Assess. But those who want to charge their phones can no longer be bothered,” said the owner of GGI GGI Company.
The GGI company on Union Road is not open yet, but it is reported that one can come and use Wi-Fi at any time.
In addition, it has been announced that Starlink Internet access can be used in places where the Kokan Army (MNDAA) is stationed.
Internet access is available in most parts of Lashio, but rescuers warned people to be especially careful of the danger of heavy weapons and air strikes.
