YANGON DIVISION – The local people said that the terrorist army and police on the No. 3 Road in Mingaladon township were arresting cars and extorting money.
It is reported that the terrorist junta council soldiers and the police were arresting the cars passing by on the No. 3 Road, cursing out those on board and extorting money without any reason, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day.
The soldiers of the terrorist junta council are forcibly demanding 5,000 Kyats from small cars and 15,000 Kyats from large cars and every car has to pay.
“On No. 3 Road, traffic police, junta dogs (junta soldiers) and Pyu Saw Htee dogs (Pyu Saw Htee militants) are causing quite a lot of trouble. In front of the terminal gas station and in front of Shwe Moe KTV, they are causing a lot of trouble. They went to the KTV and drank beer and stopped every car they saw and asked for money. If it’s a small car, they asked to pay 5,000. If it’s a big car, they asked for 15,000. With the previous group, we can still negotiate and pay 3,000 when they asked for 5,000. But this group that has arrived includes young men and boys, as well as Pyu Saw Htee members. They would curse at us. Both the traffic police and the junta dogs are very rude,” said a local resident.
The terrorist junta council is said to have increased the frequency of extortions in Yangon under the pretext of security, bullying and oppressing the people, arresting while checking guest list, and forcibly abducting people to be used as porters in the army.
