MANDALAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta council fired heavy artillery shells at Tasoe Village in Natogyi Township and two historic pagodas were damaged as a result, reported local news sites.
On August 15 at past 8 p.m., junta light infantry battalion 15 under infantry division 99 stationed in Myingyan fired heavy artillery shells into Thusoe (aka) Tasoe Village, damaging the historic Hlaingshay Pagoda by Inwa Queen and a small pagoda in the premises of Shwesinpwint Pagoda.
“The junta light infantry in Myingyan has been firing heavy weapons (at villages) almost every day. On the 14th, two heavy artillery shells landed and damaged a small pagoda inside Shwe Pwint Sin Pagoda at Lerwae and Myini Village. Several houses in the area were also ruined. People were not harmed,” reported a local news source.
After revolutionary forces launched the Myingyan District Special Operation (MDSO) on August 10, junta light infantry 15 has been firing heavy artillery shells towards Natogyi and Taungtha Townships every day.
