SHAN STATE – The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) said that a novice monk was injured in an aerial bombardment by the terrorist army targeting Hukwet Village monastery in Kyaukme Township, Shan State without a fight.
On August 16, at around 1:00 p.m., a jet fighter of the terrorist junta council bombed the village. The bomb exploded in the compound of the monastery and a novice monk was injured by shrapnel.
During the aerial bombardment by the terrorist army, the dinning hall and the two rest houses in the monastery premises were also hit and damaged.
The terrorist army also bombed Namhsan Town on the same day around 1 a.m., targeting the civilians.
