MYANMAR – New Mon State Party – Anti Dictatorship (NMSP-AD), Mon State Revolution Force (MSRF) and Mon State Defence Force (MSDF) urged the revolutionary forces in the country and abroad and everyone to unite and fight against the military dictator in their statement for 77th Mon Revolution Day that falls on August 19.
The three Mon revolutionary forces called the junta council led by Min Aung Hlaing the common enemy of all Mon people and stated that all revolutionary forces in Mon State needed to unite and resist the common enemy military dictator just as the entire nation needs to be united in the revolution; and to strategically coordinate with the ethnic revolution organizations, People’s Defence Forces and the Spring Revolution Forces in this current battle to eradicate military dictatorship.
The statement also mentioned that the current military and political climate is the most opportune moment to achieve national liberation and federal democracy; that revolutionary forces are capturing territories and junta bases in northern and western Myanmar as well as other states and divisions, even capturing the enemy’s Northwest Command; and that the junta army has deteriorated badly with the unity among its higher-ups ruined.
“We’d like to first mention that a long period of revolution is not something to be proud of. In order to put an end to the years of revolution and start the years of freedom, all Mon armed forces need to unite and plan a national strategy with the support of the Mon people and go to battle together with all the revolutionary forces resisting the military dictator. We’d like to urge the Mon revolutionary forces to wake up and bravely go into battle at this opportune moment,” said Mr. Naing Nagar, the spokesperson of MSRF.
Moreover, they urged the Mon youths in the country and abroad, and all Mon people to grab hold of the opportunity and unitedly go into battle with NMSP-AD, MSRF and MSDF alongside the Mon and other revolutionary organisations battling against the junta council to achieve equality, rights to self determination, peace, security and prosperity and to completely eradicate the terrorist junta council that has been constantly troubling the people both physically and mentally.
The armed revolution of the Mon People for the self-determination and right to decide their own destiny of the Mon people, started on the Wakhaung Full Moon Day of 1310 Myanmar calendar year led by Naing Maung Thein and 27 Mon patriotic youths, has now reached its 77th year but the Mon people have yet to achieve the national equality, democracy and self-determination and those rights can only be achieved after eradicating all dictatorships, including race supremacy and military dictatorship, said the three Mon revolutionary forces.
