SAGAING DIVISION – Local based People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) attacked and captured the junta council’s Ma Daung Hla camp, a major camp between Shwebo and Khin U Townships, on the morning of August 18.
The Revolutionary Forces started their attacks on that base, which was firmly stationed by the terrorist junta forces and pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee thugs, on the early morning of August 18, and seized it at around 11:00 a.m., according to a ground military source.
Ma Daung Hla base is located next to the Shwebo – Myitkyina Road and is included in Khin U Township.
It was a stronghold of the junta, which was stationed with about 50 junta forces. The casualties of junta soldiers during the camp capturing battle have not yet been confirmed.
Khin U Township is included in Shwebo District and Tabayin Town in Ye U District, which is connected to Shwebo District, was captured by the People’s Defence Forces (PDFs), on the morning of August 18. The terrorist junta army reportedly carried out aerial bombings over Tabayin Town in the evening.
