SAGAING DIVISION – The Revolutionary Forces, while attacking Mya Taung military base in Tigyaing Township, were reported to have sized three junta guard posts, and the junta army bombarded with its fighter jet over there, according to the news source of Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
On the morning of August 21, the Revolutionary Forces attacked Mya Taung military base, opposite Tigyaing Town, and seized three junta guard posts. The fights were fierce and the junta army was defending with air support.
“The Revolutionary Forces attacked Mya Taung military base, opposite to Tigyaing Town, on the morning of August 21, and captured three junta guard posts. Now, the junta is bombing with its fighter jet. The fighting is still intense,” said a KIA news source.
KIA led Local People’s Defence Force (PDF), Arakan Army (AA) and Revolutionary Forces are reportedly conducting offensive attacks on the military bases in Tigyaing Township.
