MAGWAY DIVISION – Comrade Wai Gyi of Yesagyo Township People’s Defence Organization (PDO) reported that the Pyu Saw Htee base at Hinthar Village in Yesagyo Township was captured after ten days of battle.
Yesagyo PDO blocked off and attacked the terrorist junta column and Pyu Saw Htee forces at Hinthar Village for more than ten days and it is said that the junta and Pyu Saw Htee forces abandoned their base and ran away on August 21 morning.
“The junta column entered that village and we surrounded and blocked off that column and the village. We would attack them every time they try to come out. We attacked them for more than 10 days. And the dogs (junta forces) finally couldn’t take it and fell back. The entire Pyu Saw Htee base ran away as well,” explained Comrade Wai Gyi.
Yesagyo PDO informed that although they didn’t confiscate any weapons or ammunition from that base, they seized several equipment and rations, and that the Pyu Saw Htee base was destroyed.
Recently on August 19, the reckless artillery attacks of the junta council killed an 80 year old displaced man at the monastery in Hintharkyun Village and injured a woman and four children, according to Yesagyo Information Committee.
During the operation at Hinthar Village, Yesagyo PDO was joined by its allied forces including Nway Oo Sitthe Yaylelkyun Region Column, UURF and local defence forces who cooperated by attacking the junta forces with UAVs, mortars and shock missiles.
A skirmish between the junta forces and defence forces in Yesagyo on August 20 morning is also reported to have resulted in the death of six junta forces and four civilians.
