KACHIN STATE- Kachin military news source said that junta troops who retreated from camp while Light Infantry Battalion (437) camp was captured by Kachin Independence Army (KIA) were intercepted and had casualties at junta side in Momauk Township.
KIA captured LIB (437) camp on August 19 and junta had many damages and casualties. Deputy chief of Operation command Headquarter (OCH-21) and his team retreated and ran away.
KIA waited and attacked the retreated junta troops and junta side has resulted in damage and casualties, said military news source. It also said that KIA attacked the junta forces between 6 mile and 5 mile of Momauk- Bhamo road section last days.
CDM officer Caption Zin Yaw said, “There was intercept attack. According to latest news, he guessed that they were back in OCH-21.”
About 500 junta forces defended not to lose LIB 437 which was important for security of junta troop in Bhamo Township including OCH-21. But after one month, junta has lost the camp with a lot of casualties.
