SHAN STATE-The TNLA reported that clashes continue in Naung Cho Township, Shan State, as the military attempts to bolster its forces.
It is learned that fighting has occurred between the TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army) and the military junta council’s forces in Thayet Cho, Taung Khan, and Kambawza Monastery in Naung Cho Township.
In August 21, at approximately 9:13 a.m., clashes broke out at the military junta council’s 902 camp in Taung Khan village, at 9:12 a.m. at the military junta council’s camp in Thayet Cho, and at around 9:05 a.m. at Kambawza Monastery.
It is reported that during the clash at the military junta council’s 902 camp in Taung Khan village, the military junta council forces conducted an airstrike with a jet fighter.
Furthermore, it is understood that the military junta, in an effort to reinforce its troops in Naung Cho Township, has launched an offensive from Kyauk Gu in Yatsauk Township, Southern Shan State, leading to clashes between the two sides.
It is also reported that two clashes occurred in August 20, in Thayet Cho village and Taung Khan village in Naung Cho Township.
