CHINA – The Chinese military officially announced that they are patrolling the sky and the ground at the China-Myanmar border.
On August 26, the Southern military division army of the China People Liberation Army (PLA) patrolled in Gengma and Zhenkang Counties at the Chinese border at the next to Shweli and Kokang in Myanmar, conducting joint patrols with the air force to maintain border safety and stability, stated the Chinese military.
China carried out military patrols near the Myanmar border as security concerns increased due to rising military tension in Shan State, Myanmar and the Chinese military stated that the instability in Myanmar is a major challenge to the border security of China.
