SOUTHERN SHAN STATE – A military source said that a new soldier who had just graduated from military service training shot and killed a lance corporal from the Junta Council at the camp in Saung Pyaung village in Pin Laung Township, Southern Shan State.
On August 24th, when the new recruit to go to the 336th Army Corps of the Pekon arrived at the camp of Saung Pyaung village and the lieu corporal argued about asking them to guard the camp. After that, the recruit shot the lance corporal with a gun. It is learned that the recruit who fired has also been arrested.
“There was a shooting at the camp in Saung Pyaung village. It happened that there was an argument about the sentry, and the recruit who graduated from military service training shot the lieutenant corporal. The recruits were asked to go to Light Infantry Battalion 336. Before leaving, they entered Saung Pyaung for a while. The recruits had to go to LIB 336 through Saung Pyaung,” explained the military source.
Currently, as all recruits are being sent to the frontline battlefields after the 1st batch of military training, most of the recruits do not want to go, and it is known that there are many deserters.
