SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) released a news report last night (August 26) that the fighting with the terrorist junta army that was reinforcing Nawnghkio Township continues.
TNLA reported it as a military press release of 62nd days of Operations 1027’s Part-2 in Shan (North) State, at 11:42 p.m., on August 26.
The fights broke out between TNLA and the junta’s 604 base in Ma Gyi Yae Village of Nawnghkio Township, Brigade (2) area of Ta’ang State.
TNLA said that the encounters broke out with the terrorist junta’s 604 base, at around 4:00 p.m., in Tawng Hkam Village, at around 1:00 p.m., and junta’s Light Infantry Battalion – 352 in Ma Gyi Yae Village, at around 2:00 p.m., on August 25.
The junta’s Y12 launched three aerial bombings during the fights in Tawng Hkam and Ma Gyi Yae villages.
The TNLA’s statement also stated that the skirmishes occurred when the terrorist army, which was trying to replenish its military forces from Kyaukgu area of Lawksawk Township to Nawnghkio Township, launched offensive attacks.
