UNITED NATIONS – U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s ambassador to the United Nations, urged the international community not to support the election that the junta council is planning to hold.
In a meeting that is still being held at the United Nations headquarters, the Myanmar ambassador urged and informed that the current situation of Myanmar is completely destroyed due to the terrible actions of the military.
The Myanmar people do not believe any election that is proclaiming to be held by the junta council will be fair and inclusive election and did not see it as a solution to the problem.
The ambassador explained to the UN member states that the election of the junta council would only prolong the suffering of the people.
On the current political and military situation, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) issued a statement on August 16th, stating that the illegal fake election attempted by the terrorist group will lead to extremely complicated political situations. NUCC warned that, if that happened, not only the terrorist group, but the countries that supported it, internal and external organizations will be held responsible.
Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun said at the UN meeting that the junta council’s army continues to commit atrocities, and because of its poor management, the people are suffering for one reason or another every day.
