SOUTHERN SHAN STATE – The Junta Council dropped three 500-pound bombs with a jet fighter at midnight on August 27th, on the Kyaukme, Northern Shan State. It is reported that one person was killed by 2 bombs that fell north of the school in the Tilin area (1) of number (9) ward, north to the number (2) High School.
“One fell to the right side of the tea leaves wholesale shop, one person died in Ward 9. No one else was hurt,” one Kyaukme resident told.
Due to the impact of the junta council bombing, the windows of some nearby houses were damaged and there was no fire.
“Many of them have avoided war again because they were afraid of being bombed. People have no income, no job, and they are starving,” said a resident of Ward 8.
Most people went to Chaung Chauk and Naung Pain to refuge again that places are 7 miles from the town.
This morning, the TNLA administration opened the central market, but the locals say that they are afraid that there will be more bombings by the junta council at busy times like Hsenwi and Kutkai.
Kyaukme town was attacked by bombing at midnight while the town has been controlled by the TNLA and PDF from the junta council, and was then started the administration.
