MON STATE – The leader of Ye Belu (Ye Ogre) reported that there were junta casualties in attack on the junta checkpoint at the entrance to Aryutaung Road in Ye Township.
At around 7:35 a.m. on August 28, revolutionary forces stormed the terrorist junta checkpoint and the ensuing exchange of fire lasted for around an hour.
“I believe there were casualties on the junta side as we managed to seize the initiative and ambush them. But we can’t say exactly how many were injured or killed. Moreover, many injured junta forces were admitted to Ye hospital,” said the leader of Ye Belu.
After the battle, the junta forces were said to have fired around 15 rounds of heavy artillery which caused damages to civilian properties, added the leader of Ye Belu.
