KACHIN STATE – It was reportedly known from KIA frontline that battle has been intense every day as the terrorist army advanced on August 23 at light battalion 437, near Momauk in Bhamo District where they were defeated.
“Today, about 500 junta soldiers, consisting of 7 battalions came in a column towards Momauk, and the battle was intense before the 7 miles,” said a person close to the KIA frontline.
He added that military councils bombarded with fighter jets towards 5, and 6 miles as well as with tanks on the ground about 5 a.m. on August 28.
At present, it is estimated about 4000 junta forces in strength at Bhamo, the combined forces from military camps which junta army has lost previously.
“Fascist council forces are attacking the area near light battalion 437, which has been captured by the KIA and joint revolutionary forces. Junta even reinforced more strength. They bombarded using war planes. The fighting is fierce every day on the 5, 6, and 7 miles side,” said a person close to the KIA front line.
“Residents from Bhamo said that junta army could be reinforcing soldiers as they always saw something like people dropping from planes,” he said.
KIA and joint forces completely captured and controlled the military council’s light battalion 437 since August 19.
