MANDALAY DIVISION – According to local reports, at 1:20 a.m. on August 31 in Mandalay Division, Natogyi Township, KyunDaung Village monastery and a nearby house were damaged by military junta’s airstrike after two bombs dropped from Jet Fighter..
A local resident said, “Two bombs were dropped, targeting Monastery Building. Monastery Walls were collapsed into parts, trees were damaged and the building’s celling, windows and doors were destroyed. The attack affected a nearby house, the house’s kitchen was damaged but there was no casualties. A small building inside Monastery ground was used temporarily for safety from heavy rain before airstrike attack, so there was no causalities. And also I don’t know where two bombs dropped recently.”
Similarly, at 1:30 a.m. on August 31, military junta air force dropped a bomb in Hta Naung Kone Village. This airstrike caused the death of a woman, more than two houses damaged and killing two cows. Additionally, in the evening on August 30, Natogyi Township Police Station fired 5 heavy artillery shells to southern part of Natogyi Township, according to reports.
Currently, there is intense military tension between military Juntas and revolutionary forces, with ongoing attacks towards military bases in Natogyi Township.
