MYANMAR – Assistance Association of Political Prisoners (AAPP) reported that the atrocious junta army killed 88 civilians, including 12 children under the age of 18, in August, and they had confirmed those victims with their names.
According to the data compiled by AAPP, the terrorist junta regime has killed 88 people nationwide between August 1 and 30, and 12 children under the age of 18 and 15 people over the age of 60 were among those killed.
Of those 88 killed, 35 were women and 53 were men, and 45 of the dead were killed by the junta’s artillery attacks.
Most of the people who were killed were from Sagaing Division, totalling 27.
In August, the terrorist junta army arbitrarily abducted 74 people in connection with the Spring Revolution, including 22 women and 52 men.
According to AAPP’s data, there were 23 people who were abducted illegally in Mandalay Division among 74 abductees, the highest number.
In addition to this, AAPP announced that in August, 80 people, 13 women and 67 men, were sentenced to prison for unjust and alleged crimes by the junta-controlled courts throughout the country. In addition to this, 7 children under the age of 18 who were unjustly abducted were sentenced to prison.
Among the 80 people who were arbitrarily abducted, the highest number were from Sagaing Division and 75 people were unjustly abducted and imprisoned, according to the AAPP.
